Types of Tunings
Your piano may have different needs based on external conditions and when it was last tuned. A standard tuning is perfect for a piano in good condition that has been tuned within the past two years.
If it’s been longer since your piano was last tuned and/or you’re unsure of its condition, you may need a pitch raise. The longer a piano goes without being tuned, the more the overall pitch drops. In order for your piano to be tuned to standard pitch, I must first perform a pitch raise, which is roughly a 30-minute process.
How long it’s been since your piano was last tuned isn’t the only factor in determining whether a pitch raise is needed and may be added to your tuning at my discretion.
Where I Service
I service individual homes, institutions, and schools in the Greater Indianapolis area. If you are outside the loop, an additional travel fee may be required based on how far out you are. I will communicate with you what that charge will be before your tuning.
